John Noyes - President's Message

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Saanich website. We hope you find it interesting and informative.

The club is celebrating our 50th Anniversary this year. To mark this occasion we have developed a monthly program of events, many with the objective of 50 “somethings” in them. All are community service related and involve membership participation. One major project is a $5000 donation to the Queen Alexandra Hospital to refurbish a patient consultation room and in addition we will be supporting the Hospital’s European & Classic Car Picnic on August 24.

While we will be busy with our Anniversary Program we also will be carrying on with our many Community Service activities such as supporting Community Literacy, Vocational Service activities such as supporting high school /post secondary students and, in conjunction with Rotary International, International Activities such as helping to eradicate Polio.

The Club meets weekly at the University of Victoria’s University Club where members can socialize as well as be informed on issues of interest by knowledgeable guest speakers. Many visitors have commented on the friendly welcome they received and the convivial atmosphere of the Club.
